A recent press release in public media from Clean Label Project (CLP) claimed to have found ‘detectable’ levels of heavy metals in protein powders. While we have no reason to believe that any of Amway’s protein powder products were the subject of CLP’s testing, we would like to reassure our customers that Amway protein powder products are safe to consume and do not pose a risk to human health when used as intended.

Amway protein powders undergo thorough testing for contaminants, including heavy metals, to ensure each product meets our high standards of safety and effectiveness. Amway formulators and nutrition investigators use peer-reviewed scientific research as well as established safety thresholds set by public health authorities like the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to formulate products that comply with regulatory requirements. Additionally, Amway protein powders are reviewed and certified by NSF International which is an independent, internationally recognized testing laboratory and public health certification organization.

Amway regards the health and safety of our customers and the environment in which we live to be of paramount importance, and we will continue to monitor the scientific findings to ensure our products are safe for consumers.
