We wish to announce that the aftersales services provided by Amway fall within the Royal Malaysian Customs Department (RMCD)'s expanded scope of taxable repair and maintenance services in the recently announced Service Tax Policy of Malaysia.

Hence, from 1 July 2024, a service tax of 8% (payable to RMCD) will be imposed on all repair and maintenance service fees charged by Amway. The amount of service tax charged will be clearly indicated on the invoice to ensure transparency and compliance with the tax regulations.

The purchase of parts, if required for repair and maintenance, will not be subjected to the 8% service tax.
